About Me:
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Economics Department at the University of Melbourne. I am interested in applying microeconometric techniques to the study of risky behaviour of youth and education outcomes.
My dissertation uses information on males from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1997 along with a variety of econometric techniques to study the effect of youthful delinquency on educational attainment. I establish the importance of delinquency's effect on education relative to that of arrest, the mechanisms through which delinquency impacts schooling, and the offending profiles of those most at risk of early school leaving, all of which are important contributions for the development of effective policy.
I have also developed an interest in health and labour economics through my experience as a research assistant.
